Emergency Procedures Quick Reference Guide
Please note that all Alamo Colleges District employees and students will be notified through a critical mass notification system in the event of an emergency. Messages will be sent through phone, email, and text messages. It is imperative that all contact information is current. Please review the steps to Updating your Emergency Contact Information below. You must "opt-in" to receive text messages and messaging rates may apply depending on the provider.
In the event of an on-campus emergency and evacuation is required, proceed to the nearest evacuation point for your building. In the event the emergency requires you to shelter in place, please proceed to the shelter-in-place location.
Steps to Updating your Emergency Contact Information
- Log onto AlamoACES
- Click on the employee tab
- Click on web services
- Personal Information
- Update Address and Phone (please make sure you enter your cell phone number in the cell phone field. DO NOT USE wireless or mobile fields)
- Click on the fields that need to be updated and hit submit

In an emergency, refer to our College's Safety Plan. The Safety Plan outlines evacuation procedures for the College and includes a flowchart to ensure decisive action during a crisis.
In addition to the Safety Plan, your team members will provide evacuation drills and in-service training on various safety issues. Training topics include: Working with Disruptive Students, First Aid/CPR, and Personal Safety.
